| Equally at ease with realism
as well as watermedia Rhett, as she is called, enjoys experimenting
with a variety of techniques. While on safari in Kenya she was prompted
to experiment with charcoal and pastel underwashes for her recent
impressions of African wildlife. This style has won her awards
and recent Richmond Regional Award from the Virginia Watercolor Society.
Loretta has
had two pictures chosen for exhibition in the prestigious Salmagundi
Club in New
York City. The Coordination Council for North American Affairs (CCNAA)
in
New York City also sponsored a one-woman show for her. She is
represented in numerous galleries in the United States, Hungary and
Austria.
The paintings and limited edition prints
can be found in many private collections throughout the world.
Her intriguing designs evolve from what she says is a compulsion to
paint. She loves animals and the great outdoors and wants her
paintings to give people a feeling of harmony and peace with nature, as
well as an abiding respect for our diminishing resources.
